Enterosgel Gastrointestinal adsorbent oral suspension 90 g
An enterosorbent in a tube that binds toxins and allergens in the digestive tract. Suitable as an adjunct in cases of diarrhoea, including D-IBS.
Enterosgel Gastrointestinal adsorbent oral suspension 90 g is a class IIa medical device: an innovative intestinal adsorbent (enterosorbent) that acts in the digestive tract, where it binds toxins, harmful substances, pathogens and allergens and carries them out of the body.
Enterosgel is suitable as adjunctive treatment in cases of diarrhoea. Enterosgel is used in adults and children in the following conditions:
- acute gastroenteritis (diarrhoea) in adults and children;
- allergic conditions with gastrointestinal symptoms;
- diarrhoea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (D-IBS).
How to use
Shake the tube carefully before use. Recommended dosage:
- adults and children over 15 years of age: 15–22.5 g 3 times a day (15 g = 1 tablespoon);
- children aged 7–14 years: 10 g 3 times a day (10 g = 2 teaspoons);
- children aged 1–6 years: 5 g 3 times a day (5 g = 1 teaspoon).
Drink a sufficient amount of liquid afterwards: adults and children from the age of 7, 200 ml; children aged 1–6 years, 50–100 ml. Sufficient fluid intake is also needed as part of the main treatment for diarrhoea. Use 1–2 hours before a meal, or 1–2 hours after a meal or after taking medication. A small amount of liquid may come out when the product is squeezed from the tube.
Ingredients
Polymethylsiloxane polyhydrate 70%, purified water 30%.
Warnings
Please note: Enterosgel may affect the absorption of some oral medication – take Enterosgel 1–2 hours before or after taking medication. If you are taking any medication, you can also consult your doctor or pharmacist about the use of Enterosgel.
Contraindications: intestinal atony, intestinal obstruction, intolerance of the product that has appeared on previous use.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Enterosgel may be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Possible side effects: nausea, vomiting, constipation.
Storage
Store at a temperature of 4–25 °C. Do not allow to freeze. Do not allow the product to dry out once the tube has been opened. The product must be used up within 30 days of opening the tube. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
